Which team will leave with the Company-Cup?

With this company-event you will sail with several teams on equal yachts to see who is the best and which team will leave this day with the Company-Cup.

In consultation with the initiator a course will be set out on the Markermeer (or in the case of multiple days, the course will be set out across the Ijsselmeer). All yachts will start at the same time, beginning from the starting ship. Then a fierce competition will commence between the teams, racing each other to the very finish, which will be in the course of the midday. Obviously every team will be flagged at the finish and their time will be noted. After everybody has made it to the finish, the winner will be announced. The prize giving will take place on the docks next to the yachts.

It is possible for this event to take place in several days. You can spend the night on the yachts, but if it's your preference, we can also make reservations at any hotel for you. After the first night we will organize a sailors party with fun (and seaworthy) attractions.

Each yacht will have it's own catering on board, including lunch and after the match, there will be a happy hour on board.

Opinion of one of the guest during the Eiffel Zuiderzeecup Regatta June 16th

Susanne Peter, guest on board of the ‘Brut', tells us: "As an uninitiated person in sailing, I left the Marina Volendam last Saturday. We were received in restaurant ‘de Pieterman', where we received our sailing instructions. Around 11:30 we got on board the ‘Brut' and there we met our skipper: Ben, a very experienced sailor. The first two hours we received some training and enjoyed a delicious lunch and a glass of wine at the harbour of Marken. Then we got our team ready for the race, because which ‘Eiffelaar' would not want to win the Zuiderzeecup? A large fleet of 27 Eiffel yachts left the harbour in the direction of the start line for the real Eiffel Regatta. Unfortunately this did not go as well as we hoped, because there was very little wind. At least it gave us the opportunity to work on our knowledge of knots, and this worked out well for our team. After some consultation between the skippers, it was decided to shorten the course, because of the predictions of some heavy weather later that afternoon. Which was a bit of shame.
When we arrived at the start line we got what we asked for: wind! It was great to feel the wind in your face, to smell the scent of the water en to feel the need to win! We had perfect timing with arriving in the harbour; right before it started to rain.
We all found a warm and comfy shelter in ‘de Pieterman'. Even the snacks arrived in our mouths with some creativity. Eiffel, thank you very much for the great experience! My interest in sailing has definitely been awakened!"
